Bankers Day 2021Friday, April 30
Join alumni, friends and corporate partners of the La Salle School of Business as we mentor the next generation of business leaders at Bankers Day 2021 on Friday, April 30.This year, a limited number of bankers will be able to participate in-person. Presentations will be conducted in individual classrooms following all COVID-19 classroom capacity restrictions and guidelines at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m, 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. There will be no formal lunch or post-event gathering as in previous years. All bankers coming to campus will be required to wear a mask the entire time and observe the on-campus COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Those bankers that sign up for virtual may be utilized as a back-up option and will be notified by the week of April 25 if we will need to use your expertise.
Bankers Day is an event where all first-year business students present their capstone projects as part of Business 100, an intensive 4-credit course that immerses students in key business functions while teams research and develop business plans.
Based on how well the teams present their business plan and field questions, our alumni judges or “bankers”, determine whether the plan is strong enough to warrant real-world funding.
Bankers Day is similar to “Shark Tank” and allows alumni the opportunity to give practical feedback to our first-year students as they present their business plans.
