Shawnda will walk through each step of the job hunt journey - from finding a job and perfecting your application, to preparing for interviews. She'll even share some tips for negotiating when you receive an offer!

About the Presenter:
Shawnda Kohr is a Recruitment Program Manager for Microsoft in the Netherlands. Since joining in February, she has helped to launch a new program focused on driving the adoption of Microsoft’s Power Platform and expanding digital skills of students in the Dutch market. Shawnda specializes in recruiting, and managing employee training and development programs.
Along with her love for people, Shawnda's lifelong passion has been traveling and exploring other cultures.This led her to leave the U.S. in 2017 and move to Thailand where she taught English for 18 months. Prior to leaving the U.S., Shawnda worked at Brunswick Group, a corporate communications firm in New York City. At Brunswick, Shawnda began her career in human resources recruiting for their 5 U.S. offices and coordinating the firm's training programs. She holds an M.A in International Relations from Webster University in Leiden, the Netherlands, and a B.A. in communications from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
Originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Shawnda now lives in a small seaside town outside of Amsterdam with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys biking, playing tennis, and loves to mentor young professionals and students on finding a job and building a meaningful career.
