November is a time traditionally designated by the Catholic Church to remember our deceased loved ones. In his meditation for the commemoration of All Souls, Saint John Baptist de La Salle states "that it is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead...because we are united with these holy souls."
Thus, La Salle University invites you to submit names of deceased family members and friends. These names will be placed in a basket in the De La Salle Chapel, and the University community will unite in prayer to remember them at our daily Eucharistic Liturgy and other prayer services in November.
Join the La Salle community as we commemorate All Saint's Day and remember all those who have passed away for All Souls' Day as we worship together at a special mass in the De La Salle Chapel on Friday, November 1 at 5:00 p.m.
As we read in Gospel of John 14:1, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”
